When I joined Nutanix – there are no clear guidelines available/mentioned about exams like NPP (Nutanix Platform Professional) & NSS (Nutanix Support Specialist) but now they announced process via “Proctortrack” (moved to a new platform – PSIExams) which helps Administrators to take the exam easily. Nutanix Technical Certifications are a badge of honor, designed to recognize the skills and knowledge you’ve acquired to successfully deploy, manage, optimize, and scale your Enterprise Cloud. Earning these certifications validates your proven abilities and aptness to guide your organization along the next phase of your Enterprise Cloud journey. Certifications are divided into 3 categories (similar to VMware) with Professional/Advanced/Expert levels. The new NCP 5.5 exam is now delivered in a remotely proctored environment to add security and help ensure the seriousness, authenticity, and credibility of your NCP certification.
NCP certification validates your skills and abilities in deploying, administering, and troubleshooting Nutanix AOS 5.5 in the datacenter.NCAP certification measures your ability to perform complex administrative tasks on a Nutanix Cluster, as well as optimize both virtualized workloads and infrastructure components in an AOS 5.5 deployment. Earning the elite NPX certification validates that you have demonstrated the ability to design and deliver enterprise-class solutions on the Nutanix platform, using multiple hypervisors and vendor software stacks.

The Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) certification validates your skills and abilities in deploying, administering, and troubleshooting Nutanix AOS 5.5 in the datacenter. This new certification replaces the Nutanix Platform Professional (NPP) program for AOS version 5.5 and beyond. Successful candidates are able to deploy and administer Nutanix AOS 5.5 nodes, blocks, and clusters; and can use Prism Element to monitor, manage, troubleshoot, and administer AHV hosts and virtual machines.
Earning the Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional (NCAP) certification validates your ability to perform advanced administrative tasks on a Nutanix Cluster, as well as optimize virtualized workloads and infrastructure components in an AOS 5.5 deployment. It also confirms that you are capable of optimizing and securing Nutanix AOS 5.5 nodes, blocks, and clusters; and can use Prism Central and Calm to centrally monitor, manage, and troubleshoot multi-cluster deployments.
Nutanix Platform Expert (NPX) is the highest level of certification awarded by Nutanix. It validates that recipients have demonstrated the ability to design and deliver enterprise-class solutions on the Nutanix platform, using multiple hypervisors and vendor software stacks. This hypervisor-agnostic certification enables Enterprise Architects to design cutting-edge Web-scale solutions based solely on business needs. The depth and breadth of the solution design and delivery skills validated through our peer-vetted program make NPX the new standard for excellence. Through a rigorous application and defense process, the program ensures that every NPX is a superb technologist and architect – capable of designing and delivering a wide range of cutting-edge solutions that are custom-built to support the business goals of organizations around the world.
How to register for the NCP 5.5 Exam?
1. Request a Proctortrack account from
2. Complete the Proctortrack onboarding quiz
You’ll need to establish your identity with an ID check and facial scan. You’ll also accept the exam guidelines at this point.
You only need to complete onboarding once, so if you’ve already completed this process, skip to step 3.
3. Wait for the Verification Email
Review and completion of the onboarding process usually happens within 48 hours. This is a great time for a final review of the exam blueprint guide.
4. Once you’re verified, log into Proctortrack and complete the NCP 5.5 exam
You will receive the results of your exam within 24-48 hours. Please note, your exam results will not be evaluated until you have been verified.
